Happy Mother's Day

Today we honor the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, guardians, and mother-figures who give so much of themselves every day. At Redmond Foot & Ankle, we recognize that caring for others often means putting your own health—especially foot and ankle health—on the back burner. This Mother’s Day, we encourage the women who keep families moving to take a moment for themselves.

Happy 4th of July!

Tips for foot health on 4th of July:

  • Wear closed toe shoes or sandals that protect the entire foot when near fireworks.
  • Be careful on grass at night.  Holes or divots could result in an ankle sprain.
  • Watch out for fire pits.  Walking over an unlit fire pit could still have hot embers underneath, which may cause significant injury to a foot.
  • Although you'd think sparklers are the safest firework, they actually burn at 2,000 degrees – hot enough to melt some metals!  Beware of stepping on a dropped sparkler. Hose them off before trying to pick them up, as it can be hard to know which end is which.

Be safe out there.  - Redmond Foot & Ankle

Trilogy Health Fair

On June 9th my staff and I were at the beautiful Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, helping with their Health Fair.  Trilogy is a an active 55 plus adult community just minutes from downtown Redmond.  The serene landscape with its Oki 18-hole Championship Golf Course, Junior Olympic pool, and spectacular clubhouse makes the heart leap and step soften.

We met so many amazing active people at Trilogy - great energy!  It was also great to meet some of the other healthcare resources of the Redmond community.
